Why You Need To Rent Equipment For Your Film or Photo Shoot

Enlisting a film production equipment rental service is the ultimate success strategy for filming. Whether you are filming for a movie, taking a photo shoot for a magazine or small scale filming, the equipment you choose to have on set can make or break your day. Relatively, for most film taking and photo shoot ventures, a walkie talkie, a generator, a tent and a canopy make for the basic essentials. Unless you have a million dollar budget, buying such equipment can cause an unprecedented amount of harm to your wallet. Once you are done with the preliminaries of creating a film with a finalized budget and a chalked out schedule, your first worry is the equipment you will use to produce that film. Buying is not option; your budget might not fit that extra expense. Thanks to rental services, you can shoot the film you desire without incurring excess costs.

Outdoor photo and film shoots are very desirable. The beauty of a park, the amazing look of a beach or the undulating view of a mountain are among the exceptional views clients would wish to record on a photo or film. Nevertheless, with the unpredictable intentions of Mother Nature, you do not wish to cancel your film shoot midway or have your cameras damaged due to rain. If you’re looking for tent rentals in Los Angeles, I’ve had a great experience renting equipment from Skye Rentals. You need shelter, not only for your equipment, but also for your clients and crew. With that, a tent and canopy is a must have.

Shooting a film is power intensive. The cameras, flood lights, computers and other equipment consume a huge amount of power. Even if you charge some of this equipment, it is almost impractical to do an entire film shoot without a recharge. The situation can be worse if you are doing a film shoot or photo shoot in a remote region. While on a film or photo shoot, the last thing you can ever wish for is lack of power. The amount of financial losses that can cause to you is unimaginable. Thanks to rental services, you can rent a generator to keep you going for as long as possible.
A lot goes on during a film or photo shoot. Organizing the camera men, cast or even the clients can be a demanding task. Even for the most seasoned photo and film shoot organizers, successfully organizing a huge group of people is not a simple task. In addition to that, when doing a photo shoot, every minute counts. With that, you want every person and equipment to be in the right place at the right time. There are very few ways of achieving this and the use of walkie talkies is one of them. With a walkie talkie on set, it will be very easy to piece everything together and have the most successful film shoot.
When you do a photo or film shoot, you hope they to be recommended for other jobs. The only way to achieve that is by doing a perfect job. Doing a perfect job entails having the best resources on the ground. Next time you go for filming, be sure to rent the above resources and have your customers go home happy.

Get Your Mind Right

For the past few years I’ve been heavily immersed in personal and self development knowledge and teachings. Looking back, it’s sort of funny because I’m not quite sure how I got so far down this rabbit hole. It wasn’t much of a conscious choice of, “Where’s all the self development books at? I need to get my hands on them.” Haha. It’s been more of a slow and gradual process of trying to further align my life and improve myself with health, wealth, happiness and love.

What I’m reading now is completely different than what led me down this road. Today I am currently absorbing “Practicing the Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle, “Six Pillars of Self Esteem” by Nathaniel Branden as well as anything by Peter Voogd because that guy spouts some serious fire in relation to entrepreneurial and wealth success.

I didn’t start of reading these sort of cliche self help books though. I think the first non fiction books I dove into were related to starting a freelance graphic design business. I recall flipping through that book during my breaks as a lifeguard at my local pool growing up. I believe my next progression was to a book that dealt with interviews of different Art Directors and design studios and advertising agencies. Funny enough this was years before the Mad Men craze. But I digress…

During college I was all about how to make money online, how to make passive income, how to get rich with the internet. While it wasn’t books so much it was interviews, podcasts, audios and articles on the newest way to strike it rich.

I’m not exactly sure how it worked out but I know I became aware of some of the biggest mentors of my life. I started reading things by Grant Cardone, Tai Lopez, Peter Voogd, Dane Maxwell, Ramit Sethi, James Altucher, shoot this list could get long! One of the best ways I know of to find people worth a damn has been through Twitter. I would follow a few people, then I’d see articles re-tweeted or suggested profiles and one thing would lead to another. I just followed the breadcrumbs if you will.

I currently have an Amazon wishlist of over 150 books that I want to read that range from Biographies, Auto-Biographies, self help, business, leadership, philosophy, social dynamics, psychology and on and on. For now though I need to focus on consuming content that is in alignment with my goals of being the best entrepreneur I can be, finding the best customers to serve and serving my clients like an All Star.

My self development journey hasn’t been one that was perfectly mapped out or planned. I tried to get as much information as I could for the topic I wanted to learn more about and went to the next book or jumped to a slightly different topic.

I guess the point of all this rambling is to convey that I’ve been working hard to get my mind right. I’ve looked to others for the lessons from their failures and I’ve looked to others for the lessons they have learned from their mentors.

It’s a lot easier to attain success when you’re able to stand on the shoulders of giants and by getting my mind right with these super star mentors, the people years ahead of me, I’m able to get there quicker. And you are too!

What do you want to learn more about? What area do you want to achieve mastery in?

Seek out books on that topic, seek out the best people in that industry and see what people or teachings they point you to.

There’s a wealth of knowledge out there.

Get your mind right and absorb all that you possibly can!
